Virgin Atlantic scoops three prizes at British Travel Awards

Virgin Atlantic has won top honours in three categories at the prestigious 2010 British Travel Awards.

The Gatwick-based carrier won the best business/first class, best economy and best long-haul airline prizes. Bitter rival British Airways was voted best European scheduled airline, with easyJet picking up the best no-frills airline award.

Voted for by consumers across the country, the British Travel Awards are the UK’s premier travel industry awards.

In other flight-related categories, Manchester was rated as the best UK airport, East Midlands won the best regional airport prize, and London Heathrow was ranked best for business travel.
